Vicky Valverde-Salas, MD

Dr. Valverde-Salas was born in Ecuador and migrated to the USA as a young boy. New York City became his teenage playground until he moved to Massachusetts to attend college. While at MIT, his love for the life sciences led him to study medicine in the wilds of Wisconsin. After much toil and tribulation while trying to enjoy life as a student of medicine, he finally became a Family Medicine Physician.
“After 27 years of medical adventures, my love affair with Medicine continues to teach me the intricacies of life and open mysteries that I only hope to master but a few in my life time. Dancing, growing orchids, cooking, walking in nature and loving my wife and children are my personal interests that keep me true to my soul.”
Margaret Kray, Family Nurse Practitioner

Margaret Kray, FNP, was born and raised in California, moved the the Bay Area in 1998 to attend college at U.C. Berkeley, and lived for a year in Italy. She studied Environmental Science, focusing on how environmental toxins affect health, specifically within the Latino farmworker community of the Salinas Valley. Her passions for public health, social justice, and life sciences eventually led her to complete the U.C. San Francisco Family Nurse Practitioner program. She has been practicing with Clinica la Luna y el Sol since 2008.
“Health is the foundation on which the rest of our lives sit, and access to healthcare is at the core of all of my social, political, and personal values. Medicine and Nursing allow me to combine my love of science and the challenge of understanding the human condition with a unique opportunity to be present with others during their most vulnerable moments. When I’m not at the clinic, you will find me running, dancing, traveling around the world, writing poetry, or staring out at the ocean.”
